FoodShare's professional kitchen staff provide hands-on cooking training to program participants- Focus on Food youth, participants in the market garden project with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), community gardeners, and women with breast cancer in the Good Food For Life program.
We also offer a four-workshop series “Cooking Out of the Box” geared towards agency staff, plus a few volunteers, who are interested in starting a community kitchen.
In choosing our workshop title we are workng with the idea of cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables (‘Cooking Out of the Good Food Box’) and developing community through food (Cooking outside of the “Box”).
Topics include sanitation, knife skills, multicultural ways with food, conflict resolution, seasonal recipe ideas and more!
