Compost

For sometime now we've been bragging about our fantastic, non-to-be beat Field To Table compost , made by Toronto's compost king, Mike Nevin and his cadre of dedicated Friday volunteers.

We've been using this compost on our own seedlings and in the Sunshine Garden at CAMH, but unless you've bought seedlings or shopped at our garden's twice weekly market stand, you haven't been able to truly sample the compost's delights. Its beautiful chocolate cake colour, the oh so fine light and crumbly texture, its generous warmth as it slides lovingly through your fingers have eluded you...until now!

Straight-from-the garden veggies

Produce from our Sunshine Market Garden at CAMH (1001 Queen St. West) From the begining of July to October we hold a market stand on the CAMH garden grounds every morning, Monday through Thursday, 10-12:30pm. The market stand is right on Queen Street, at Ossington, near the CAMH main entrance. In case of rain the market may be held inside the CAMH building.

Honey

Honey from FoodShare’s own beehives is available on a first come, first serve basis in November or December. Prices vary from year to year, depending on the harvest.

Sprouts & Seedlings
Field to Table Sprouts and Seedlings offers fresh OCIA certified organic sprouts through FoodShare’s Good Food Box program. Sprouted locally from certified organic seed stock and packaged in reusable zip bags, we offer pea and sunflower seedling sprouts that are grown and harvested by participants in our Growing Green Jobs program in partnership with CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health). The seedling sprouts are lovely alternatives to imported greens in a salad and a beautiful garnish.
